Single-window platform enters phase two
Electronic permits from six partner agencies are now issued inside the customs single window, cutting document handovers for traders.
The authority has connected six partner agencies to the single-window platform, allowing permits, licences and certificates to be requested and issued alongside the customs declaration.
Traders no longer submit the same documents to multiple bodies. Clearance decisions now draw on live permit status, so a consignment is released as soon as the last regulatory condition is satisfied.
Phase two also introduces a shared reference number across agencies, which makes it possible to trace a consignment end to end without contacting each body separately.
The remaining agencies join in the next phase, alongside an application programming interface for brokers who prefer to integrate their own systems.
