How it works
Step 1: Check whether the goods are controlled
Some exports need a permit from a sector regulator — for example antiquities, controlled chemicals, live animals or strategic goods. Obtain the permit before lodging the declaration.
- Exporter
Step 2: Lodge the export declaration
Submit the declaration with the commercial invoice, packing list and transport booking. Declare the correct tariff code — export statistics and any refund claim depend on it.

Step 3: Verification at the exit point
Customs may verify the goods against the declaration before loading. Sealed containers are checked for seal integrity.

Step 4: Loading authority and departure
Once verified, the loading authority is issued and the carrier may load. The certified export declaration is your proof of export for tax and refund purposes.
