About this service
Travellers may bring personal effects and gifts within the published personal allowance without paying duty. Goods above the allowance, commercial quantities, and any restricted item must be declared at the red channel on arrival.
Currency and bearer instruments above the declaration threshold must be declared in writing whether you are arriving or departing. Failure to declare is an offence and may lead to seizure and penalty, even where the funds are lawfully held.
